Brussels, Prague, Den Bosch, London – December 12, 2019 – Euler Hermes, the worldwide leader in trade credit insurance, has appointed three country chief executive officers (CEOs) within its Northern Europe Region. All three appointments are effective January 1, 2020 pending regulatory approvals where required.
Ed Goos, currently CEO Euler Hermes Central Eastern Europe (CEE), is appointed CEO Euler Hermes Belgium. He will relocate to Brussels from Prague and brings 20 years of experience in different roles and countries to his new role.
Francis Jespers, currently CEO Euler Hermes Netherlands, succeeds Ed Goos as CEO Euler Hermes CEE, based in Prague. Francis will be responsible for Euler Hermes operations in the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania and Bulgaria.
Mike de Bresser, currently commercial director, Euler Hermes UK & Ireland, will relocate from London to replace Francis as CEO Hermes Netherlands, based in ’s-Hertogenbosch.
Ed Goos, Francis Jespers and Mike De Bresser will report to Fabrice Desnos. Mike de Bresser’s successor as UK & Ireland commercial director will be announced in due course.
Bernd Lehmann, currently CEO Euler Hermes Belgium, will relocate to Munich where from January 2020 he will be he will be Head of SME partners Germany with focus on strategic Euler Hermes-Allianz partnerships. In this role he will report to Ron Van het Hof, Head of Region, Euler Hermes DACH (Germany, Austria and Switzerland).
